While we can be thankful for many well-known Christians, it is good to remember those who serve the Lord faithfully in either the background or are simply less known.

It seems like almost everything has a warning label on it today. For example, we have warning labels on food and clothing, as well as household products that contain hazardous materials. These labels can be helpful as they endeavor to warn of danger and provide caution for potential consequences. The Bible has many warnings too, and they serve the same general purpose. One of the more unique, yet helpful, is a warning about a coppersmith.

When we think of appropriate speech, we tend to only think of such things as profanity or something vulgar. While this is obviously important, Christians are to go even further regarding their speech. They are to only use speech that builds up rather than tears down.

For the Apostle John, God’s love can be seen in various ways. We are now part of God’s family and will one day be formed into the image of Jesus. This should result in living a life that is pleasing to God.

Whether through these channels or simply through spoken words, we need to take time to consider the facts before making a decision or passing judgment. A good principle is to first hear someone out before you make up your mind.
